1883 First documented mention of the “Schwane” inn
1954 Married couple Else & Eugen Wetzel buy the “Zur Schwane” inn
1982 Dieter Wetzel, then the youngest master chef in Germany, and Anna-Maria Wetzel, hotel business economist, take over the Schwanen Hotel-Restaurant
1983 + 1989 new buildings and extensions to the hotel

1998 Construction of the middle wing with Café-Bistro Mezzo, garden restaurant and event rooms
2010 The siblings Tim and Anja Wetzel join the family business
2013 New garden house built - the Schwanen now has 71 guest rooms
2019 New work.shop and skylounge building
